Christa Nater’s expertise is in applied psychology with an emphasis on intergroup relations, social inequalities, and biases. Her recent research advances the understanding of origins and consequences of gender stereotypes and biases in organizations and society.
Dr. Nater transforms these insights into interventions that address the pressing societal and organizational issues of inequality. In her work, Dr. Nater adopts an interdisciplinary perspective integrating psychological, organizational behavior, sociological, and health science theories. To this end, Dr. Nater uses a multimethod approach with quantitative (e.g., experiments, meta-analysis, physiological measures) and qualitative methods (e.g., behavioral coding).
