Soziale Neurowissenschaft und Sozialpsychologie

Unsere Abteilung beschäftigt sich mit dem menschlichen Verhalten und Erleben im sozialen Kontext. Wir beziehen in unserer Forschung neben der Vertiefung des Grundlagenwissens auch biologische Grundlagen des sozialen Erlebens und Verhaltens sowie die Anwendung verhaltens- ökonomischer Paradigmen mit ein. Unser Forschungsansatz ist empirisch-quantitativ.

Schwerpunkte sind: Soziale Neurowissenschaft, Neuroökonomie, Kooperation, soziale Konflikte, prosoziales Verhalten, Selbstregulatorische Fähigkeiten, Stereotype/Vorurteile.

Congratulations to Mirjam Studler and Emmanuel Guizar Rosales on successfully obtaining their doctoral degree. In her doctoral thesis, Mirjam used EEG to decode the sleeping mind, while in his doctoral thesis, Emmanuel used fMRI to study the neural basis of sustainable behavior. Both will stay with us a bit longer as postdocs and we couldn’t be happier.
